A neighbor found a second suspicious item and a third was found across the street.

Olathe's bomb squad responded to the street to examine the items, and safely dispose of them if necessary.

"Better safe than sorry" says Major Orbin.

Shawnee Fire Marshal Corey Sands tells Operation 100 News that the "objects were initially thought to be explosive in nature. The bomb squad investigated and found the objects were not explosive in nature."

Major Orbin says Woodland Drive was reopened shortly before 4 p.m..

"The homeowner did the right thing by calling 911 and not disturbing the device," Fire Marshal Sands said in a news release Sunday evening.

Police believe juveniles were involved in making the devices. The Shawnee Fire and Police Departments continue to investigate.
